On October 10, 1957, the CSPD responded to a call for service in the 1300 block of LaSalle Street for reports of an unconscious woman. When officers arrived, they located a 50-year-old adult woman identified as Dorothy Beazell. Unfortunately, emergency medical intervention attempts were unsuccessful, and Ms. Beazell was pronounced dead on scene. An autopsy was performed and cause of death was listed as cyanide poisoning. For the last 62-years, CSPD Cold Case detectives have worked this case, however, as of now, no arrests have been made. If you have any information relating to this investigation please contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.

Although this is a 1986 case, we continue to develop occasional leads in the disappearance of Christopher Abeyta. Sadly, none of these have yet produced a positive result. If anyone has new information about what may have happened to Christopher, we'd love to hear it. Both the CSPD and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children are always available via social media, telephone, or mail. What could be more important than solving the case of a missing child?
