Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund

Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund The JCCF’s premise is to lend a helping hand to professional rodeo athletes and their families in the event of catastrophic injuries.
(8)

With no guaranteed salaries or injured reserve provisions in the sport of rodeo, these professional athletes are often left with no place to turn when faced with serious, sidelining injuries and the accompanying financial hardship. The fund fills the void of financial hardship when the inevitable serious injury interferes with the careers of those who have dedicated their lives to the sport.

Meet the St. Paul Rodeo — longtime supporters of the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund and the inaugural recipient of the JCCF Rodeo Committee of the Year Award. The St. Paul Rodeo supports JCCF year-round through financial contributions and by helping raise awareness for injured cowboys and cowgirls.

Powered by hundreds of volunteers and strong community partnerships, the St. Paul Rodeo continues its mission of producing a world-class rodeo that honors Western heritage while giving back. Each year the event helps generate over $500,000 in community and charitable support. Join the SPR community and celebrate 90 years this summer!

The Newport Rodeo in Newport, Washington proudly supports the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund through local fundraising, product donations, and volunteer support—helping provide injured rodeo athletes a hand up, not a hand out.

Rooted in the Pend Oreille River Valley, the rodeo traces its beginnings back to 1935 with local ranchers known as the Hoot Owl Gang. Today, the Newport Rodeo continues that proud tradition, hosting sold-out crowds and earning recognition as one of the top rodeos in the region.

As the summer rodeo approaches its 77th anniversary in 2026, the tradition continues.

Hello from the Potter-Cervi Memorial 2026.

A great event for a great cause — honoring and remembering three remarkable individuals whose lives continue to make an impact. Grateful to stand alongside a community that shows up, serves well, and remembers faithfully.

We are grateful for the long-time support - Here’s to carrying their legacy forward 🤠

A strong crowd, a steep hill, and a long-standing tradition. The Cowboy Downhill is about to begin, and the support is second to none. Nothing better than a sea of people showing up for a one-of-a-kind event and the cowboys brave enough to take the run. Thank you !

Part race. Part wreck. All cowboy.

The Busch Light Cowboy Downhill returns to Steamboat Springs, Colorado this weekend, bringing together some of the best cowboys and cowgirls from professional rodeo for a downhill ski race that’s equal parts speed and spectacle. It’s a Steamboat tradition—unpredictable, entertaining, and always a good time.
Best of all, the event benefits the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, supporting rodeo athletes and their families when they need it most.

Head to Steamboat this weekend and check it out.
