*** FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION ***

On June 10, 2026, at approximately 4:06 P.M, Colton Police Officers responded to a report of a traffic collision near the intersection of South Mt. Vernon Avenue and Centerpoint Drive in the city of Colton.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a silver 2003 Lincoln Town Car had collided with the rear of an OmniTrans bus that was stopped at a red traffic signal.

The driver of the Lincoln sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Occupants of the OmniTrans bus reported minor injuries following the collision but declined transportation to a local hospital. The driver of the OmniTrans bus was uninjured.
