Age requirement: 16-24 YEARS OLD!

- The hours can count towards the State Registered Apprentice Program as a journeyman mason.
- Valuable skills that apply to various fields, including construction.
- Allows you to learn techniques in stone, brick and more.
- Great program for young adults that allows them to enhance their job skills.

The program introduces masonry skills training as a pathway to an in-demand occupation and career that teaches about:

🎉🤠 EARP DAY! 🤠🎉

Yeehaw! Colton had its 2nd Annual Earp Day this past Saturday, August 15, at 8:00 AM at The Paseo, next to Larsen’s Pharmacy!

All families enjoyed FREE fun, including:
🥞 Free pancake breakfast
🎯 Games for the kids
⛏️ Gold panning demonstration
🐴 Big horses to feed
🐐 Mini petting zoo

It truly was a family-friendly, kid-friendly, and just plain FUN! 🎉

The Back 2 Work Transitional Program is a paid, subsidized program through SBCCD that offers:

•Interviews are being conducted today and tomorrow, and participants can start as soon as Friday!
•A 90-Day paid program at $16.90 per hour with Caltrans.
•Participants must have a valid Identification card/Driver’s License.
•A Social Security Card, and/or Original Birth Certificate.
•Must be 18+ to be eligible.

San Bernardino Community College District, Economic Development and Corporate Training has an upcoming Residential Construction Program that starts 8/31/26!!!

This excellent program will provide general labor/construction skills for individuals ages 18-24 years old.

- Great for young adults!
- We encourage female participants!
- Recommended for those who may have completed Masonry, for added skills!

SPACE IS LIMITED

This program provides hands-on training in:
• Framing
• Flooring
• Plumbing
• Electrical,
• Drywall
• Deconstruction
• Some Carpentry

CRITERIA:
- Age Criteria: must be 18-24 years old.
- Must be able to commit to four weeks of all-day lecture/hands-on training.
- Must be willing to attend the program and ready to learn.
- This program is not beneficial for youth who may still be attending school during the day.

Colton Chamber of Commerce held their rise and shine this morning at the Walmart distribution Center. 1600 agua Mansa road. This corporate giant open its doors a few years ago and has become one of the largest freight hubs in the US. Employed over a thousand associates, 55 managers and has a footprint of 4,000 ft. Santiago Soto was a guest speaker and basically explained how the distribution center operates. Patricia Snyder, the HR manager, talked about Community involvement including donation scholarships, volunteers, scrance and supports the college education. Thank you Walmart for hosting our event!
