Boating Safety Course At Lisbon Beach

OGDENSBURG, NY – Attention all recreational boat and personal watercraft (jet ski) operators.

As of January 1, 2025, all operators of motorized vessels regardless of your age, are required by New York State to complete a boater safety course before operating their vessel. “Boat America” fulfills this requirement and will be presented by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary June 20 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Lisbon Beach Campground; 9975 State Highway 37 Ogdensburg, NY 13669. Receive your card and certificate at the end of the course.

Tuition is $35.00 per person with family rates, group rates and scholarships available. Preregistration is required.

We had a group go inspect our new engine over the last few days. This truck will be replacing our 1999 Pierce engine. It has a 1500 gpm pump with 1800 gallons of water. Thank you to the community for your support in purchasing this awesome truck. It will be serving the community for the next 15 to 20 years.

While the group was out at the plant for inspection, the truck was test drove to Colton, South Dakota just a few miles from the Rosenbauer Plant in Lyons.

The members of the Colton Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone who came out to support us this past weekend. Whether you stopped by for the Chicken BBQ or lined the streets for the Memorial Day parade despite the bad weather, we greatly appreciate your presence and your continued support.
We also want to extend a special thank you to the Colton-Pierrepont School Marching Band, the Girl Scouts, and the Pierrepont Fire Department for marching with us.

Our 2026 Fund Letter is in the mail. While we try to send one to every mailing address for the properties we service, between getting the addresses from the county, printing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc. we sometimes make a mistake.
