Firefighters are stepping up and putting in the work at Main Side Station 21! 🚒

As part of the Self-Project Program, our firefighters are taking on upgrades to the station kitchen to help improve the living environment for the members who work and live at the firehouse.

These projects are a great example of our firefighters going above and beyond—not only responding when duty calls, but also taking pride in their station and investing their time and effort into making it a better place for everyone.

We appreciate the dedication, teamwork, and pride our members continue to show in taking care of their firehouse and their fellow firefighters.

This past week your Federal Firefighters provided mutual aid on two occasions to calls in Monmouth County.
On 7/27 Brush 52 (County #94-93) responded mutual aid to Sandy Hook with the National Park Service and Sea Bright Fire/ Rescue for a brush fire in the area of Kingman and Mills on the bay side.

On 7/29 Tanker 51 (County # 94-96) responded mutual aid as part of a Tanker Task Force on Rues Rd in Upper Freehold. Strong work to the companies involved on this assignment who made an aggressive quick stop of a large amount of fire.

Providing mutual aid allows us to offer our services to the community while still having adequate protection on the installation.

This past Sunday two of your federal firefighters of Local F147 participated in the Ben to the Shore bike tour. A 65 mile bike ride from the base of the Ben Franklin bridge in Philadelphia to Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. The ride raises money for The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation. A 501(c)(3) who provides financial support for the families of fallen or gravely injured first responders. The two members were FF Michael Waterhouse and FF Kristin Neubelt. They were joined by FF Even Fisher from Local F-61. Congrats guys we are proud of you. Keep up the good work.

We wish Captain Smith the very best of luck on his new assignment in Kansas. While you will be greatly missed, you will always be a part of the Naval Weapons Station Earle Fire Department family.

COLTS NECK, N.J. — Capt. Brian A. Forster relieved Capt. Kent “Brewski” Smith as commanding officer of Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle during a traditional change of command ceremony held aboard the installation, July 2.

Congratulations to FF/EMT Dunn and FF/EMT Hill from NWS Earle on successfully completing the Gemtor Harness Train-the-Trainer Course conducted by CMC at the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire & Emergency Services Training Center in Norfolk, Virginia.

This specialized training enhances their knowledge and instructional capabilities in the proper use, inspection, and training of Gemtor harness systems, helping to ensure firefighter safety during emergency operations.

Congratulations on this accomplishment and your continued commitment to professional development and firefighter safety.

Personnel from across CNRMA completed the Gemtor Harness Train-the-Trainer Class with CMC today.
