I just got done in a meeting with the county auditor about the new Veteran property tax law. If you are currently receiving a property tax deduction and are rated 90% or under your new tax credit will automatically roll over so you should not have to come in and refile. Those of you who are rated 100% will need to come in and refile for the total credit. Please pass this along to any and all veterans that you know in the county. And if you have any questions or just want to make sure it changed over feel free to stop in or contact me. This is supposed to take effect after July 1st, and you have until the end of the year December 30th.
