🐾 Reminder to all pet owners! 🐾

To help keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone, please remember that dogs are required to be on a leash when in public areas, as outlined in City of Columbia City ordinances.

📖 Ordinance 90.03(K) states that an animal must be properly restrained and not at large when off its owner's private property.

📖 Ordinance 96.04(D) states that only leashed dogs or cats are allowed with their handlers on the Blue River Trail. Horses, ponies, mules, donkeys, and other animals are not permitted on the trail.

Leashing your dog helps protect your pet, other animals, and fellow residents while enjoying parks, sidewalks, trails, and other public spaces.

Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and helping make our community a safer place for all! 🐶❤️

During National Police Week, we pause to recognize and honor the men and women who put on the badge each day with courage, integrity, and commitment to serving others.

To our officers, " Thank you for your sacrifice, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to protecting our community. The long hours, missed holidays, difficult calls, and daily challenges do not go unnoticed. Your service makes a difference every single day".

We also remember and honor the fallen officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, and we keep their families and fellow officers in our thoughts.

Stay safe, stay strong, and know that your hard work and dedication are deeply appreciated.
