At MAJ Convention, Samatha Dos Santos and Adam Shareef shared a glimpse into their experience as fellows of MAJ's Leadership Academy, a year-long program designed to help rising professionals grow into confident, purpose-driven leaders.

As Adam put it, "we are all leaders in some capacity - whether it's to our staff, our firm, or our community. But, very rarely do we spend time honing those abilities. Through deliberate, intentional presentations led by legends in our field, we were able to learn so many things that we will carry with us well into the future."

This program is about taking the time to invest in yourself, your professional growth and your future. Applications are now open for the 2026-2027 cohort! Apply before June 30: mdforjustice.com/leadershipacademy

We've had a lively morning at the MAJ Office! All day, Judges and Magistrates from multiple Maryland jurisdictions are sharing how the bench expects attorneys to present family law cases under the new rules. Thank you to our wonderful panel of expert speakers Hon. Kathleen M. Dumais, Hon. Paul B. Eason, Hon. Ralph Sapia, Hon. Sara L. Schwartzman and Hon. Kelley M. Spigel for sharing your insights.

Attendees will walk away with practical guidance on the application of Houser v. Houser, the proper drafting and enforcement of Consent Orders under the new Assumption of the Mortgage provision, and effective strategies for presenting multi-family adjustment arguments in child support matters.

Congratulations, Fellows! Special shout-out to Jenner Law alumni Josh Wolberg (first row, far left).

Throughout his presentation on deposition strategies, he's answered attendee questions, brainstormed solutions to difficult roadblocks, and handed over his hat to an attendee for a photo op. 🤠 What a way to start the day!
