Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities: Promoting Entrepreneurship There is something for everyone!

Entrepreneurial communities are those cities, neighborhoods, or townships that are continuously working to develop an environment that fosters entrepreneurship to promote community economic development. They have created networks, cultures, resources, and policies that enable invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship to succeed. Join other like-minded leaders and learn best practices to promote

economic development, innovation, and foster entrepreneurship in your community. Breakout sessions are held in local businesses and venues, giving participants a unique way to learn and experience host communities. The conference aims to create, connect, and promote community economic revitalization through entrepreneurship as a driver for economic growth across communities in Missouri where entrepreneurs and innovators flourish and are celebrated! Bring Others With You
We encourage you to invite your coworkers, colleagues, community leaders, entrepreneurs and other local stakeholders. Whether you work in economic development, government, business, arts and culture, education, the nonprofit sector, or philanthropy, you have an important part to play in supporting local businesses and entrepreneurial development in communities. Communities need entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs need communities to flourish!

🌱 Big Ideas. Practical Tools. Homegrown Momentum.

The CEC Conference is bringing together an incredible lineup of speakers and ideas focused on one powerful question: How do we build stronger, more vibrant rural communities from the ground up?

From developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and strengthening local microbusiness ecosystems, to using AI and data to make smarter business decisions… from childcare and workforce development to local food systems, agritourism, and farm-to-Main Street opportunities — these sessions tackle the issues that matter most to the future of our communities.

And it doesn’t stop there. We’ll explore the power of belonging, third spaces, neighboring, collaboration, leadership, systems thinking, and community decision-making — because economic development is about much more than numbers. It’s about people, connections, opportunity, and creating places where people want to live, work, invest, and stay.
