Historic Elm Springs had a busy Saturday! The local Catholic Church hosted a tea party for their ladies group and local high school students came out to take prom photos.

From that to this, Historic Elm Springs is open once again for tours now that the wallpaper install is finished in the home’s entryway! Check out the before and after pictures here.

Several people have inquired about our entry hall project. We're proud to announce that the entry hall is now complete!

"It really looks nice; we are going back to a late-1850s wallpaper pattern. I think people are really going to love it!" said Adam Southern, Executive Director.

Of course, he wasn't talking about this image. This is only an Ai April Fool's Day joke. The real wallpaper unveil will be shared tomorrow!

Our interior repairs are taking longer than anticipated. We will be closed for tours until Thursday.

Historic Elm Springs will be closed for tours this week, but you can still walk the grounds and visit The National Confederate Museum from 9a to 4p (9a to 2p on Saturday).

We are excited about our first-ever Sam Watkins Book Festival at Historic Elm Springs this Saturday, March 14th. We have three great authors and speakers, along with hundreds, if not thousands, of gently used books to sell. Books start selling at 9am, presentations begin at 9:30am. Come see us!

We will be closed on Tuesday.

This is a current view of our campus— everything is covered in a sheet of ice. For the safety of our visitors and staff, the museum, Historic Elm Springs, and SCV Headquarters will all be closed.

Thank you to the Maury County Historical Society for awarding Historic Elm Springs a grant for the ongoing restoration project of the home’s entry hall! Executive Director Adam Southern accepted the check presented by members of the Historical Society.

We hope y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The museum and Historic Elm Springs will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in observance of the holiday. We will reopen on December 1st.
