Maury County, Tennessee is comprised of three cities- Mt.

Pleasant, Spring Hill, and the county seat, Columbia. It also has several unincorporated communities that include Culleoka, Hampshire, Santa Fe, and Williamsport. Maury County is located is located in the middle of Tennessee approximately 46 miles from Nashville and 76 miles from Huntsville, AL. The current population is around 103,000. Maury County has a long history of being an agricultural lead

er due to its rich soil. It is also known as the “Mule Capital of the World”, a long history dating back to the 1840s when the mule industry gathered for a livestock show as well as buy and sell mules. Now, the Mule Day parade attracts over 100,000 people each year to the county. The ancestral home of James K. Polk, the 11th President of the United States, is located in Columbia. The Maury County Health Department will host its Annual Drive-Thru Baby Shower on Saturday, June 13th, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM CT at 1909 Hampshire Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are eternally grateful for their sacrifice and the freedoms they fought to protect. 🇺🇸
