Granny's Little Blessings is helping families in our community by providing care and a place for children to learn, grow, and make new friends. Serving children from infancy through age 12, they play an important role in supporting local families and our community's youngest members.

This week, we're throwing a little love toward one of the most unique recreational spots in Columbia, NC — Goat Neck Farms Disc Golf Course! 🥏🌳

Located in Columbia and surrounded by protected game lands, Goat Neck Farms offers an 18-hole disc golf experience with multiple layouts designed to challenge players of different skill levels.

But this isn't your everyday disc golf course! From starting your round near the farm's goats to finishing with an unforgettable shot featuring antique tractors, Goat Neck Farms brings together disc golf, the outdoors, and a little bit of Eastern North Carolina character.

The course has also welcomed disc golf tournaments and events, helping bring players into Columbia and giving locals and visitors another great reason to enjoy the outdoors and experience what our community has to offer. 🥏

We're excited to feature Goat Neck Farms Disc Golf Course and celebrate the creativity, recreation, and community spirit they bring to Tyrrell County!

This week, we're proud to shine the spotlight on George Haislip of Columbia, NC!

George has been a valued part of the Columbia and Tyrrell County community for years, bringing his knowledge, passion, and dedication to the area he calls home.

George has also played an important role in our local business community, having previously served as President of the Columbia Tyrrell County Chamber of Commerce. Through his leadership and involvement, he has helped support local businesses, strengthen community connections, and promote the many wonderful things our area has to offer.

With a strong appreciation for the history, character, and natural beauty of Eastern North Carolina, George continues to be someone who cares deeply about preserving what makes our community special while helping it move forward.

We're grateful for the time, leadership, and passion George has given to Columbia and Tyrrell County over the years!
