💥 Tactical Tuesday: LOW. FAST. LETHAL.

South Carolina Army National Guard AH-64E Apache attack helicopters from the 1st Attack Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment took to the skies across the Midlands and Upstate, executing low-altitude flight operations through challenging terrain and mountainous training corridors.

Flying both single-ship and formation missions, Apache crews sharpened the skills required to maneuver undetected, dominate the battlespace, and deliver combat power wherever the mission demands.

From the rolling hills of the Midlands to the rugged mountains of Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee counties, these aviators trained at the speed of relevance—building readiness, precision, and lethality for tomorrow's fight.

Today, we pause to remember the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Operation Overlord was a pivotal moment in World War II, demanding unprecedented courage and strategic resolve. We honor the thousands of service members who gave their lives to secure a foothold in Europe and defend the cause of freedom. Their legacy continues to inspire our mission and our commitment to national security.

We will never forget their sacrifice.

🤝 Stronger Together: Advancing Interagency Readiness!

On June 1st, we hosted a critical joint training exercise at our West Columbia Armory, bringing together the SCNG, federal and local Law Enforcement leaders, FBI WMD Coordinators, and the Department of Public Health State Lab.

This intensive one-day training ensured our Civil Support Team (CST) remains at peak readiness to support our partners during any incident.

Thank you to all our partners who participated. When the call comes, we are ready to respond as one team.

🧠 June is PTSD Awareness Month: Hear Their Stories with ABOUT FACE
Not all battles end when you leave the combat zone or hang up the uniform.

PTSD is a reality for many of our Service Members and Veterans. But navigating it doesn't have to be a solo mission, and understanding treatment doesn't have to be a guessing game.

🗣️ What is ABOUT FACE?
ABOUT FACE is an interactive platform, created by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the National Center for PTSD, dedicated to demystifying PTSD and its evidence-based treatments through the voices of those who have lived it.
