It has been an awful day for our fellow firefighters serving in Lexington County after an engineer with the Lexington County Fire Service died in the line of duty.

Please pray for the department and its many members at this dark hour.

This evening all of our hearts at Columbia Richland Fire are with our brothers serving in Lexington County.

We pray tonight for the friends and family of LCFS Fire Engineer Paul Quattlebaum, his many brothers in the fire service and all touched by this tragedy.

According to the Lexington County Fire Service and county officials, Engineer Quattlebaum died from injuries he suffered after being hit by semi-truck while assisting victims of a motor vehicle collision on Fairview Road.

We ask you to pray for comfort and healing for everyone impacted on this day of great loss.
