The Healthy Learners Adult Spelling Bee is back, and we are looking for teams to compete! This year’s event will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at our NEW
LOCATION!

This event simply isn't possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of people like you who are willing to jump in and participate. So, gather your friends or coworkers, form a team, and prepare for increasingly difficult rounds of spelling! All proceeds go directly toward helping children in Greenwood County receive the essential medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care they need to thrive in school and in life.

Today, our Healthy Learners team is wearing green in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Mental health is an important part of a child’s overall well-being and ability to succeed in school. In fact, 1 in 5 children experience a mental health disorder each year, and early support can make a lasting difference.

Thank you to team members Merlethia Greene, Student Services Site Coordinator (P*e Dee/Georgetown), and Colby Moore, AmeriCorps Member (P*e Dee/Georgetown), for helping raise awareness and supporting the health of children in our communities every day

🌟 Celebrating Innovation, Collaboration, and Impact | USC Practicum Showcase 2026 🌟

On April 28, 2026, Healthy Learners had the pleasure of hosting students from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business – M.S. in Business Analytics (MSBA) Program at our Corporate Office for their final practicum presentations.

Over the past four months, two outstanding student teams—Team Black and Team Garnet—partnered with Healthy Learners to tackle real-world challenges through data-driven solutions.

🔹 Team Garnet developed a comprehensive Grant Governance Dashboard, helping us better track funding, understand restrictions, and align resources with community needs.

🔹 Team Black focused on Service Efficiency & Conversion Analysis, providing insights to improve how we deliver care and support students more effectively.

Their work reflects not only strong analytical rigor but also a deep understanding of our mission:

💙 Removing children’s health barriers to learning with love and compassion.

We were honored to have Ross Bagley, Managing Director of the MSBA Program, join us, along with our leadership team, board members, and staff for this special presentation and appreciation luncheon.

A heartfelt thank you to both teams for your dedication, professionalism, and meaningful contributions. Your work will have a lasting impact on how we serve our students and communities.

👏 We are proud to partner with institutions that are shaping the next generation of analytics professionals while advancing our vision:

✨ A future where all children are healthy and able to reach their full potential.
