Arsenal Hill Neighborhood Association Arsenal Hill is the oldest Neighborhood in "Famously Hot" Columbia South Carolina that is rich in history and in the midst of a major revitalization.

Arsenal Hill is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Columbia. Established in the 1820's, this historic neighborhood lies east of the Congaree River and includes the Governor's Mansion, Federal Courthouse, Finlay Park, and the Congaree Vista arts & entertainment district. Arsenal Hill exhibits an ecclectic mix of historic architecture and uses inluding commercial, industry,government, and residential.

Had a wonderful time celebrating Pearl Fogle’s 100 Birthday this afternoon. Pearl was a founding member of the Arsenal Hill Neighborhood Association (formerly named Arsenal Hill Concerned Citizen). Pearl was born and raised and still lives in the home she was raised in on Gadsden Street. Some facts on this day in 1924:

The Earlwood Community and the Bike Pedestrian Advisory Committee is sponsoring NoMa Open Streets set for Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

As a result, there will be temporary road closures:

* River Drive & Northwood Street
* Northwood Street & Park Street
* Park Street & W. Confederate Avenue
* Gadsden Street & Elmwood Avenue
* Lincoln Street & Abbeville Street
* Clark Street & W. Confederate Avenue
* River Drive and N. Main Street

CPD Bike Unit officers will participate in the event and can assist with traffic control.
