The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing the citizens of Columbia with welcoming and scenic parks, exciting and engaging recreational programming, and unique special events. Our parks are thoughtfully maintained and offer a great number of recreational activities. Our recreation centers are open regularly and our friendly staff members are always there to greet you. Our programming is designed to engage adults, children, seniors, and families. ​Whether you're looking to enjoy one of the shelters and play a few rounds of disc golf at Woodland Park, take in a softball game or two at Ridley Park, or looking to get into shape with our fitness programs at the Armory Recreation Center - we've got you covered. It's easy to find something fun and exciting to do with the Parks and Recreation Department so come on down to your nearest park or recreation center and get involved!

A perfect 100% — again.

Our pool recently received an unannounced inspection from the Health Department, and we are excited to share that we earned a 100% rating.

The inspector noted our pristine water, well-kept facility, and pools that are among the best they have seen. While we are proud of the result, the real credit goes to the staff who put in the work every day to keep our facility clean, safe, and ready for our community.

A special thank you to our Aquatics Team for maintaining those high standards day in and day out. Whether a patron is walking through our doors or an inspector happens to walk in, our goal remains the same: provide the safest, cleanest, highest-quality experience we can.

Summer is not over until we make one BIG splash!

Join us for The Last Splash on Labor Day, September 7, from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Columbia Aquatics & Recreation Center as we celebrate the end of another great pool season.

Enjoy temporary tattoos, bracelet making, snow cones, karaoke, and plenty of poolside fun with friends, family, and the Parks & Recreation team.

Free for ARC members. Daily passes are available for non-members:
City Residents: $5
County Residents: $8
Outside County: $11

The work behind the trails never stops.

While you’re out enjoying our trails, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to keep them safe, maintained, and ready for you.

Aaron, our trail builder and maintainer, is constantly out there taking care of the details, from clearing overgrowth and fixing problem areas to making sure our trails stay in great shape.

The trails don’t maintain themselves. We’re grateful for the work that goes into keeping Columbia’s outdoor spaces ready to explore.

ReFIT is taking a break on Wednesday, August 26, but do not worry, Bootcamp is taking over! Bootcamp will move from Thursday, August 27 to Wednesday, August 26 at 5:30 PM just for this week.
