🦖✨ From Fingerprint to Dinosaur: A Pre-School Summer Reading Adventure! ✨🦖

Our youngest readers had a roaring good time exploring dinosaurs through stories, movement, music, and art!

We practiced our best dinosaur moves, danced to a dino tune, and then got creative with illustrator Gerald from Doodle-Fina Adventure Press as we turned fingerprints into one-of-a-kind dinosaur creations using stamps, markers, and our imagination. 🎨🦕

Our teens are learning to turn ideas into reality with Unearth a New Skill! 🛠️✨

Earlier this month, participants got started with 3D modeling design using Tinkercad, learning the basics of creating digital designs and exploring how those designs can become something useful in everyday life.

We can't wait to watch their skill progress and see what they create!

The competition was fierce at last night's Jeopardy! 💪

We had a great turnout with 11 players for June's game! Some came with their own teammates, while others joined forces with new partners.

Our 5 teams tested their brains 🧠 through 5 different categories, plus a final Jeopardy question:

Buzzers were slamming all around the room, but in the end, last month's champions, Warren and Athena, reigned supreme! 🏆

🌿 Unearth a Story with Somerset Place! 🌿

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th at 2:00 pm for Hands-On History with Somerset Place State Historic Site as we explore how people used the resources around them to create the things they needed every day.

Participants will discover how enslaved people at Somerset Place skillfully used materials like gourds and grasses to make essential household items, while learning about creativity, tradition, and the importance of preserving history.
