Our private swim lessons waitlist is now open!

These lessons are available for any level of swimmer. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, our instructors will help you improve your skills with one-on-one supervision. Lessons are provided in six 30-minute increments, and limited times are available. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We're hiring a Custodian! 18 - 20 hours per week, and hours will vary based on building hours and rentals. Weekends and evenings are required. Applicants should expect to complete a variety of custodial and preventative care duties at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC), the Community Welcome Center and surrounding grounds. ARC patrons, please be aware of a water line repair that will be made tomorrow (Aug. 26) on West Ash near the ARC. The Clinkscales Road entrance will be open.

𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬, 𝐀𝐮𝐠. 𝟐𝟔
Starting at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. will close West Ash Street between Bernadette Drive and Clinkscales Road to make emergency repairs to a broken waterline.

The full road closure on West Ash Street will be just west of the entrance to the ARC, 1701 W. Ash St.

Local traffic will be able to access locations such as Gerbes and Shelter Gardens. The ARC entrance on West Ash Street will be closed, and ARC guests should use the entrance on Clinkscales Road.

Through traffic should use alternative routes such as West Worley Street or West Broadway.

Sidewalks in the closure area will remain open.

Work is expected to be completed by the afternoon of Aug. 26. However, weather or other factors may delay completion.

The ARC Water Zone pool will be closed for annual cleaning and maintenance starting August 1 at 12 p.m. and will reopen August 10 at 5:45 a.m. for lap/spa/walk. Looking for a calmer time to enjoy the Water Zone? Join us for Sensory Friendly Swim! Designed for families who find loud noises and spraying water overwhelming. Visit the ARC Water Zone on July 18 and August 15, 6 - 8 p.m. For the first 90 minutes, there will be no music or spray features. For the last 30 minutes, spray features will be turned on.
$7 for a swimmer and an adult, $3 for each additional adult.

The ARC will host a Youth Cardio and Strength Orientation on June 16, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., for $10. Kids 12+ can learn how to utilize the Cardio/Strength Training Zone Equipment. Certified staff will instruct on proper technique, muscle groups, training goals, and safety. Minimum age for ARC 2nd floor equipment (excluding the track) is 14 years old without a parent. Youth members 12-13 years old must complete the orientation class and be accompanied by a parent. For more information, call 573.874.7700.

The ARC has adjusted hours on the 4th of July. Visit us from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After that, we hope to see you in the evening at Stephen's Lake Park at Fire In The Sky!
Adjusted programming on the 4th is as follows:
