Last week, station 1 members took advantage of the weather and break in calls to knock out some apparatus operator training for some of our new members.

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter/EMT Parker Stutheit and wishing him farewell as he begins his next chapter.

Parker was recognized for his dedication and outstanding service to the Boone County Fire Protection District. As a longtime resident firefighter, he is known throughout the district for coaching and mentoring new firefighters and always lending a helping hand.

Thank you for everything, Parker. We wish you all the best on your next journey!

Tonight, Station 1 proudly celebrates two of our own graduating from the 2026-1 Recruit Class. We had a visitor at Station 1. “Flat Stanley” came from a first grade class in Sacramento, California. He pulled hose, posed with an axe and tried to drive the engine—but couldn’t reach the pedals!
