Today, June 1, South Carolina observes the first official SC GOLD SHIELD DAY, honoring the brave law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in service for our safety. I was proud to support and vote for this law passed this year.

We also remember and honor the spouses, children, parents, and families who continue to carry that sacrifice every day.

We especially remember and pray for the family of Officer D. J. Keller and the trials they are going through. Let's also take a moment to remember our Greenwood County Fallen Officers and families listed below.

LAKE GREENWOOD INVESTIGATION UPDATE, May 31

In response to our latest inquiry, SCDES Director responded this morning.

DES received some metal results from fish tissue late Friday which were “below reporting limits for arsenic, cadmium, lead and selenium.”

“The department is waiting for the results of the full suite of testing from private labs to come back over several days this week.”

The “final report” will be provided to me and the public and will be posted on their website. I will post as soon as received.

Rest assured our legislative delegation will continue to expect answers.

SC REDISTRICTING JUST DIED IN THE SENATE.
Sadly, it appears that 12 S.C. Republican Senators (up from five last week) voted with Democrats to kill the redistricting bill that we passed in the House. (Only three members of the 124 member House crossed over with Democrats).

I am proud of my Senator, Billy Garrett for voting like a true Republican to redraw the unconstitutional 6th District map BEFORE the midterms.

This will likely have national repercussions.

This endorsement by Ralph Cushing (founder of SAVE LAKE GREENWOOD) means a lot to me.

“I reached out to John McCravy after I had heard about the Conestee Dam and its dangers to Lake Greenwood. John was already on it, protecting our lake and drinking water. LAKE INVESTIGATION UPDATE from SCDES Director May 23:

“Water quality data still looking good. SCDES fish data and SCDNR fish data should be back next week. Labs taking longer than expected due to the number of constituents screening for and how they are analyzed.”

This is an outrage!
Rep. Travis Moore has fought alongside me and others to protect children from online p**n, trans surgeries and drugs, abortion and harmful social media. He is a Godly family man who lives his life as an example to all.

This mailer is the result of another shady PAC putting out fake news to try to influence an election. They will not divulge their donors, but I know one thing - they are doing the work of the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy.
