🚨SUSPECT APPREHENDED FOLLOWING FOOT PURSUIT ON GARNERS FERRY ROAD🚨

The Columbia Police Department has taken a wanted suspect into custody following a foot pursuit that began at the Walmart located on Garners Ferry Road.

Earlier today, investigators identified an individual who the Columbia Police Department wanted. When officers attempted to make contact, the suspect fled on foot through the Walmart parking lot, prompting a pursuit.

Officers quickly coordinated efforts, resulting in the safe apprehension of the wanted suspect. A second individual involved in the incident was also taken into custody.

The primary suspect, Qu’mond Seawright, was wanted on multiple charges stemming from a shooting incident, including firearm-related offenses. Thanks to the vigilance and proactive efforts of our officers and investigators, he is now in custody and no longer considered a fugitive.

No officers or members of the public were injured during the incident.
