Feel Good Friday! 💛
As we wrap up the school year and cheer on all the amazing graduates, I had to share a moment that completely made my week.
One of the little ones in our Tomorrow’s Promise program personally invited me to his Pre-K graduation. With the biggest smile and excitement in his voice, he asked, “Do you want to hear our graduation song?” Of course, I said yes. He stood tall, puffed out his chest, and sang his heart out.
Then he proudly shared all the details about the ceremony and asked again, “Are you coming?” My answer “Absolutely.”
As I sat in the sanctuary at Brookland Baptist Church waiting for the graduates (Little Lambs)to walk in, I thought about that sweet exchange. I thought about the Promise we make to every family that walks through our doors, the promise that every child will have opportunities, joyful moments, and the chance to just be a kid. And the promise to every parent, that we will walk beside them as they work hard to care for and guide their families.
That little guy’s smile? It made my heart smile. 💙⭐️💜

May has been full of milestones at Family Promise of the Midlands. Prom night fun, awards ceremonies, band recitals, driver’s licenses earned, moms celebrated, graduations attended, and TWO families approved for housing! 🏡✨
None of it would be possible without YOU our amazing supporters, congregations, and funders. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us keep the promise to the families we serve. 💛

Oh, what a night! ✨
We had an unforgettable evening in Emerald City at our 2025 Night of Promise Annual Gala!
A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and supported this event. Your support is the backbone of Family Promise and our mission to help families experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence.
With deepest gratitude, we also thank our keynote speaker, Craig Melvin, for his inspiring message. Craig’s heartfelt message and the Melvin family’s commitment to ensuring every child in the Midlands has a bed were truly inspiring. 🛏️💛
Our Ambassador Family shared their powerful story, reminding us all why we do this work. Their journey is a beautiful testament to the impact Family Promise has in helping families find hope, stability, and a path to lasting independence.

Family Promise of the Midlands will be hosting their annual gala here this Thursday that is raising money to continue their efforts in providing shelter for those facing housing challenges. There's still time to get your ticket to attend this fabulous event for a great cause. This year's theme, "A Night in the Emerald City!"
