2️⃣If you need a local business license, contact the county and municipality where your business will operate. Your local office will provide instructions on how to apply.

Looking to register your Doing Business As (DBA) name?

South Carolina is a little different! We don’t register DBAs on the state level, but you can register your DBA when you apply for your local business license (issued by the county and/or municipality where your business operates).

Limited Partnerships (LPs) or foreign corporations can apply for an Assumed Name or a Fictitious Name with the SC Secretary of State.
