Let's Move! Let’s Move! Columbia is devoted to familiarizing the people of Columbia, South Carolina with the ideas of First Lady Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative.

Columbia is an initiative led by Columbia's First Lady DeAndrea Benjamin and Mayor Pro Tem Tameika Isaac Devine, and is focused on healthy living and physical activity for our youth & families. is a comprehensive initiative launched by First Lady Michelle Obama that seeks to end childhood obesity by helping parents make healthy family choices, creating healthy schools, providing access to healthy

and affordable food, and promoting physical activity. The City of Columbia is seeking to empower its citizens with information and knowledge to make sure our city maintains a healthy lifestyle, not just for our youth, but for everyone.

Our Family Wellness Challenge participants joined Ranger Wildt for a garden workshop at Earlewood Park.

Families received a free garden bed and plants (tomato, pepper and basil) to get them started on their own garden at home.

Are you looking for a fun activity to do with your family this Memorial Day weekend? Do you want to learn how to play tennis? Greenview Park is hosting free family tennis nights beginning this Sunday, May 27 at 5:30 pm. This is part of the USTA Southern's tennis initiative to teach families how to play.
