Help us congratulate Firefighter- EMT Dustin Ferguson on earning his red helmet!

Dustin has invested a lot of time completing emergency medical training, he has completed practical evaluation of his skills along with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians written exam; Becoming a licensed EMT-B in the state of Missouri.

Dustin was successfully checked off on all firefighter requirements with the Boone County Fire Protection District. Proving himself a very capable helping hand.

We are very proud of you Dustin, thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

The western gateway of Boone County. A paramount feature in our run box and one that marks our western edge.

Be advised that one lane of the east bound I-70 is currently shut down due to construction on the bridge. It is expected to remain closed until Wednesday. At times traffic can be backed up a couple miles. Remember to prepare accordingly and allow plenty of travel time or plan an alternate route.

Station 9 firefighter Joe Ege shared career opportunities in the fire service and emergency medical services to middle school students at Camp CaPow yesterday. Thank you camp director Dr. Mott for inviting us out.
