Just a reminder that due to changes by the Trump administration about when ballots are stamped and counted, I recommend EVERYONE use a county voter drop box or bring it directly to the elections office. This is the best way to make sure it is counted.

When my mom needed access to healthcare, she was able to get what she needed because she lived in a state that protected her rights and we need a representative who will continue to fight for everyone’s access to get their healthcare needs. No one should need to feel burdened when going to the doctor

Fire protection is existential for so many communities like mine that watch FlightRadar and WatchDuty religiously. 🔥🛩 And becoming fire safe is often expensive and difficult for many people.

Our representative must understand the needs of different neighborhoods, not just to update one size fits all rules, but ensure those rules are achievable and get resources to complete it.

This question was it about the "Zone Zero" effort for defensible space areas within 5 feet of a house — it's difficult and expensive to comply. Let's be clear — we absolutely need to fire harden homes, but we also need to prioritize strategies and do it well. That's where a good idea needs common sense understanding to implement.

The first thing fire burns won't be your petunia garden. The priority should be things like spark quenching attic covers, gutters, fire rated roofs, removing ladder fuels, roadside brushing. Or, more aggressively expanding Zone 1 and 2 to ensure entire neighborhoods become clear. Many of these are low cost investments with high returns on risk reduction.

And of course, we need the financial tools to make it doable, flexibility for alternatives, local funding for implementation, and insuring risk reduction reflects insurance rate reduction. For example, hardy board, metal skirting, fire resistant plants, and or continuously irrigated spaces should be acceptable alternatives for existing construction.

The State and Federal government created this issue. The state and federal government needs to step in with resources to adapt and be resilient.

Thank you Congressmember Adam Gray for endorsing me for State Senate District 4. Strong state and federal partnership is how we achieve great things.

I am happy to know he is there working in DC to protect our state and region. As you did before in the Assembly, I will do everything I can to fight for rural California on the state side.

We must do better than simply choosing winners and losers between agriculture, homes, and the environmental water needs. We need water for all of it.

But, we are still dealing with the 1930s-1950s Central Valley Water Project Backbone and supplemental projects with the State Water Project in the 1970s. . . . meaning our last big water projects were done when my dad was graduating high school in 1969.

Floor-MAR (recharging our aquifiers) is the solution to having enough water for homes and for farms in the Central Valley. Take water in wet years and build the infrastructure to let it percolate into depleted groundwater banks for a dry year. I will be fighting to see billions invested from Prop 1, Prop 4, and other funding towards this backbone infrastructure and ensure we can meet the goals of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), our impacted basins, and groundwater sustainability agencies.

California’s San Joaquin Basin is at the center of the state’s water challenges, with decades of groundwater overdraft and increasingly severe floods putting water supplies, communities, agriculture, and the environment at risk.
