Every week at The Family Center, we hand out 40 or more meal bags to the unhoused in our community. These meals provide energy and nutrition during gaps in the week when our guests can't attend our daily breakfast or lunch services.

As we pack this week, our team is running low on peanut butter- a staple protein that provides meaningful calories for our guests. When you're at the grocery store this week, consider purchasing a few jars for The Family Center. It's an easy way for you to help us care for our most vulnerable citizens. Thank you for caring, and for walking beside us in our work.

Due to the extreme temperatures over the next few weeks, The Family Center is responding by providing a daytime Cooling Station for our community in need of shelter. Open from 9-3 Monday-Thursday, we have extended our daytime available hours for our unhoused community to take shelter from the extreme heat. This will operate daily through the end of September.

If you are interested in helping, we need volunteers to assist during the day and help us organize our guests for showers, meals, and laundry services. If you have a heart for the homeless, we would invite you to join our team of advocates by emailing [email protected]. Thank you for the support!
