Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity In 38 years Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity has helped 190 families in Boone and surrounding counties affordably own homes of their own.

Habitat for Humanity builds homes in partnership with low-income families and volunteers in our community. Homeowners pay a zero-interest mortgagee for the cost of building their home. Volunteers and donors ensure the mortgages are affordable. Habitat homeowners typically have incomes that are 30-60 percent of the median income in the area. They are required to invest an average 250-300 house of s

Today, Lacey Pratt, our Fundraising & Community Outreach Manager, and Rick Weisner, our Construction Manager, had the privilege of presenting on Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity and the lasting impact we’ve made in our community. Grateful for the opportunity to join the Department of Architectural Studies’ Materials and Methods class at the University of Missouri! This will be the 5th year that MU’s Architecture class has partnered with us to volunteer building homes!
