Columbia Housing will accept online applications for the senior units at the Haven at Palmer Pointe located at 1135 Carter Street, Columbia, SC 29204 from
8:00am Friday, February 27, 2026 until 5:00pm Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Applications will only be available via the internet and will only be accepted digitally.

Completing an application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist. Not all households who apply will be eligible. Up to 250 qualified applicants will be selected for the wait list using a random lottery.

Wait list lottery results are final and are not subject to appeal. Households not selected for this waitlist may reapply when the waitlist opens again.

Columbia Housing will open the wait list for Schoolhouse Road Apartments on Monday, February 9, 2026. The property is located at 2807 Schoolhouse Road, Columbia, SC 29205. Applications will be accepted online only from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. 2-bedroom units are available.

Applicants for this property will be selected using a computer-generated lottery system, up to 200 applicants will be selected using the lottery system.

Completing a pre-application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist, and not all households that apply will be eligible for placement. The final waitlist will be determined using a random lottery. Applicants not selected in the lottery will not proceed in the process. Those who were selected will be notified by mail of their status. Waitlist lottery results are final and cannot be appealed. Households not selected for this waitlist may reapply when the waitlist opens again. Oak Park Apartments located at 2431 Washington Street in Columbia (former Gonzales Gardens site) 2 and 3 bedroom units available. Applications will be accepted Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

3 bedroom public housing units located in various sites across the City of Columbia and Richland County. Applications will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am on Monday, January 26, 2026 until further notice.

Senior units at Spencer Place located on Spencer Place in Cayce, SC. Applications will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am on Monday, January 26, 2026 until further notice.

Another eventful Fall Festival served up by staff at Columbia Housing.  Thank you to so many in the community who turned out to enjoy all of the music, Trunk or Treat, decorations, delicious food, and all the awesome awesome costumes.

Kids, you guys showed out this year! Hundreds of attendees!

A huge shout out to the team at Resident and Strategic Initiatives led by SVP Taleshia Stewart for coordinating this annual event!

Help us give a big round of applause to ALL the Columbia Housing departments – whether you coordinated and worked THE HAUNTED HOUSE; provided music & staging equipment; helped cook & serve food; provided security; set up and broke down the event; coordinated dance contests/scavenger hunts on the mic; decorated your trunks for Trunk or Treat; secured attractions like the Buffalo Soldier Car Show or our David Ruffin Impersonator; gave out Columbia Housing ‘coming attraction flyers’; or distributed candy to the little ones and ‘not so little ones’— we celebrate you all! 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿
