What happens when art begins with the human body? 🎨

Body Matters, a new limited-time exhibition at the Columbia Museum of Art, explores the connection between craft and the body through nearly 70 works spanning centuries, materials, and artistic perspectives.

The exhibition is now open and on view through January 3, giving you plenty of time to experience it right here on Main Street.

The Main Street Latin Festival returns this Saturday, Aug. 22 from 11am–10pm on the 1300 & 1400 blocks. 💃 Newcomer? Expect a full day of live music, dancing, authentic food vendors and family fun.

PSA: The 1300 and 1400 blocks will be closed to traffic.

Know before you go! Main Street Latin Festival is a free, family friendly event happening rain or shine on Saturday, August 22 from 11 AM to 10 PM. The 1300 and 1400 blocks of Main Street will be closed to traffic, so park at Republic Parking, Washington Plaza, or the Lady Street Garage and walk on in. Wear comfortable shoes, you will want to walk and dance in them, pack your sunscreen, and bring cash or a card since vendors accept both. No outside alcohol or coolers please, and the festival follows all ADA guidelines with accessible parking and pathways throughout. See you on Main Street!

¡Prepárense antes de venir! El Main Street Latin Festival es un evento gratuito y familiar que se realiza llueva o truene el sábado 22 de agosto de 11 AM a 10 PM. Las cuadras 1300 y 1400 de Main Street estarán cerradas al tráfico, así que estacionen en Republic Parking, Washington Plaza o Lady Street Garage y caminen hasta el festival. Usen zapatos cómodos, querrán caminar y bailar con ellos, no olviden el protector solar y traigan efectivo o tarjeta, ambos son aceptados.
