The next meeting of the Shelby County VOAD will be this coming Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00am. The meeting will be at the Shelby County Fire Training Center. The address is 77 Training Center Drive, Calera, 35040. It does not show up on all phone GPS systems. It is on Alabama Highway 70 between Columbiana and Calera. It is East of the Shelby County Landfill. You will see a Welcome to Calera sign and the entrance to the drive is directly across from this, on the South side of the road.

The Shelby County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Fish Market-Hwy 280, Birmingham, Alabama 35242. The meeting is required by Title III of Superfund Act and Reauthorization Act of Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986. For more information, call Shelby County Emergency Management Agency at 669-3999.

Also, there will be a Public Review of the Shelby County THIRA (Threat & Hazard Identification Risk Assessment) plan during this meeting.
