So much fun getting to run the Calera leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics today! I even had the honor of carrying the torch for a bit of it (I promise it stayed lit despite how the picture looks 🤣). Beyond it being a great cause, it was also fun just spending time with my law enforcement friends and colleagues from across the county. We are blessed to have incredible, dedicated, and professional law enforcement in every corner of Shelby County, and it has been an honor to spend so much of my career working with them to keep our County safe. Special thanks to Chief Hyche at Calera PD for organizing the event!

The runoff forum was a fantastic event last night. It was a packed house! Great job by Shelby County Republican Party making it happen so quickly. The event was recorded and I believe the recording will be posted in several places later today; we’ll share when it becomes available.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Memorial Day. I was blessed to be able to attend the Memorial Day service at the National Cemetery in Montevallo this morning. There is certainly no greater reminder of our freedom than to see the headstones of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to preserve it. I’m thankful to live in a nation worth making that sacrifice for, and I’m especially thankful for those willing to make it.

Back on the campaign trail and back in Pelham! Felt good to get back to work addressing the city council tonight. However, it was a struggle for my brain to ask everyone to vote June 16th after saying May 19th for a whole year 😂.
