Our office was thrilled to attend last week's Canal Wi******er community town hall alongside State Rep. Meredith R. Lawson-Rowe, Canal Wi******er Mayor Joe Steager, Canal Wi******er Councilmember Alec McLaughlin, as well as our partners from the Columbus Division of Police and Fairfield County Sheriff's Office.

One lesser known fact is that domestic violence often causes brain injury. Rachel Ramirez from the Ohio Domestic Violence Network explains the intersection of DV and traumatic brain injury.

Survivors of DV often experience head injuries and other forms of trauma that can have lasting physical, cognitive, and emotional effects. Understanding the signs and impacts of traumatic brain injury is critical to supporting survivors.

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, call the Central Ohio Domestic Violence Hotline at (614) 224-HOME (4663).
