Columbus Area Endowment The Columbus Area Endowment (CAE) was established in 2008 by a volunteer group of Columbus area citiz Donated funds are dedicated to the greater Columbus area.

The Columbus Area Endowment will enhance the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of the Columbus area and support the well-being and quality of life of its citizens through charitable grants. We provide donors the opportunity to build and to preserve assets for local charitable purposes.

CAE has announced the following twelve community-impact grants in its 2025 cycles.
• Columbus Area Aquatic Center: $5,311 for new furniture;
• Columbus Club House: $2,660 for computer, walkie-talkies, & training;
• Columbus Community Center: $899 for signage
• Columbus Fourth of July Committee: $3,000 toward website design and maintenance;
• Columbus Department of Public Works: $1,500 toward park umbrellas;
• Columbus Public Library: $1,000 toward a second accessible circulation desk;
• Columbus Recreation: $3,445 for a race-timing system;
• Columbus School District: $6,000 toward broadcasting & recording equipment;
• Fall River Schools: $2,888 toward Clean Your Plates kitchen lab upgrade;
• Friends of the Columbus Public Library: $766 for a book truck in the Annex;
• Loving Lunches: $1,800 toward feeding food-challenged children;
• Savanna Oaks Community Center: $4,900 toward outdoor seating;

A total of $34,169 was awarded.
Formal presentations will be made at the CAE annual Celebration of Philanthropy event on November 9, 1 PM at Savanna Oaks Community Center.
CAE grants are limited to non-profit entities that serve Columbus and Fall River communities in parts of Dane, Columbia, and Dodge Counties. CAE is dedicated to enhancing the educational, cultural, and economic vitality of the Columbus area for present and future generations and supports the quality of life of its citizens through charitable grants. Interest areas include needs of residents in the Columbus area such as cultural enrichment, community development, education, environment, and historic preservation.
