Forbes dropped its inaugural rankings of America's top HBCUs, spotlighting the institutions shaping the next generation of Black leaders, innovators, and change- makers. The rankings evaluated schools based on student outcomes, return on investment, graduation rates, alumni impact, and career earnings.
Founded to provide higher education opportunities for Black students during segregation, HBCUs have played a pivotal role in producing generations of leaders across business, medicine, law, engineering, politics, and the arts.
As HBCUs continue to see rising demand nationwide, these institutions remain at the forefront of educating and empowering future generations, even as many face growing financial pressures and affordability challenges.
