If you are a teacher or school administrator interested in scheduling a tour of the Ohio Statehouse, the Ohio Transportation Grant Program will be accepting applications from September 4th through September 13th.

The grant is designed to help cover the cost of bus transportation to the Statehouse.

The Governor’s “Heart of Opportunity” Tour made a stop in the Mahoning Valley this week at America Makes to celebrate Ohio ranking number one in CNBC's top states for business, and to highlight local workforce development, manufacturing growth, and economic success.

From small businesses and local entrepreneurs to manufacturers, community leaders, and workforce partners, there is incredible momentum happening right here in the Mahoning Valley and this event was a great reminder of what makes this region so special.

Last week I had the opportunity to join a group of AMAZING women for a Power Lunch event, hosted by my friend, Amy Less Shope! Wonderful conversation and connections were made. Thank you Amy for bringing women together, for sharing your gifts and talents and providing a space and atmosphere for women in the Mahoning Valley to connect and share their journey. There is enough success to go around!

2025 Fair Queen Allison Irwin brought the idea of an All In Livestock Show to Columbiana County and it was a HUGE success! Thank you to Allison, to all of the volunteers, parents, mentors, and the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities for the support. An unforgettable show!

I was honored to join the East Liverpool community for the dedication of the East Liverpool Revolutionary War Memorial—a lasting tribute to the brave patriots whose courage and sacrifice helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today. May this beautiful memorial stand for generations as a place of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.

Thank you to The East Liverpool Beautification Society; Mayor Smith; project organizer and past president of the Mahoning Valley Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, Steve Barlow; as well as countless community members who put on an amazing America 250-Ohio!

My daughters also enjoyed being contestants in the All American Pie Baking contest! 🥧
