Today, I signed the Vice President JD Vance pledge to join him in the fight against fraud in taxpayer-funded programs.

Taxpayer dollars should go to the people and programs they're intended to support, not fraudsters taking advantage of the system. Protecting taxpayers, safeguarding benefits for those who genuinely need assistance, and holding those who commit fraud accountable shouldn't be controversial.

I am so happy to recognize Chloe Todd, a Crestview Local School District High School student, whose artwork was selected to be included in the Ohio House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibition. I am proud that the Ohio House provides this platform to celebrate our young artists and the dedicated teachers who inspire them. Congratulations to Chloe – your creativity is something to be truly proud of, and I love viewing your beautiful artwork each time I walk from my office over to the Ohio Statehouse!

Thank you Mike Barber, President of Hill International Trucks & Hill Idealease for taking time to meet with me this summer to discuss legislative priorities and highlight the importance of the trucking industry. This meeting was personally very special to me because Mike spoke of my late father, who worked in the trucking business, and shared conversations that the two of them had several decades ago.

On September 23rd, Senate Bill 219 went into effect. I recently had the opportunity to stand alongside State Senator Al Landis and Senator Bill Reineke as the Governor signed the bill into law. I want to thank members of the House Natural Resources Committee and all of the interested parties for working alongside us to pass this important legislation to update the law governing Ohio’s oil and gas wells.
