CONGRATULATIONS, Bob!

There was nothing unusual about the most-recent quarterly meeting of the Columbus Fire Department - at least not from Bob Lovewell's perspective.

The veteran reserve firefighter walked in expecting an ordinary evening. Instead, he walked away humbled.

Lovewell, the longest-serving current member of the Columbus Fire Department reserve program, was surprised during the meeting when Assistant Fire Chief Nate Jones presented him with the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association (NSVFA) Firemanship Award.
