This monumental turning point in World War II began a costly campaign that ultimately helped secure the freedoms of the modern world.

We’re so proud to see of our very own, Angel Walker, take part in honoring our nation’s history alongside the Joseph Hart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution during their annual honors ceremony.

She has been serving veterans in Bartholomew County for nearly a decade, both in our office and as a member of DAR!

The local Joseph Hart chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) conducted its annual service May 21 with special honors awarded for America’s 250th birthday this year.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We encourage our community to take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes, support their families, and honor the legacy they left behind.

From assisting with VA benefits and claims to connecting veterans with resources and support, our goal is to ensure every veteran in our community knows they are not alone.
