Mission Statement: The objective of the organization shall be to serve at any time upon proper request,any mission of mercy,to aid and assist in case of disaster or accident where human life is has been,or is likely to be endangered,where such is within the capacity and mission of

the squad,which is Basic Life Support Ambulance Provider and Rescue Squad.(Except for special aid to County or City Officals and this being at the discertion of the Board of Directors.) The Polk County Rescue Squad was founded in 1960 and is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and tax exempt according to Internal Revenue Service. Polk County Rescue Squad is Basic Life Support Ambulance Provider, Heavy Rescue Department and a member of North Carolina Association of Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services.

Respond to Interfacility Transports as well as 911 Calls. Provide Emergency Medical Care at the EMT Basic Level to Sick and Injured Persons. Be able to lift patients and equipment. Be able to drive and operate an ambulance under normal traffic conditions as well as responding to emergency calls.
