🇺🇸 Never Forget.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember the victims, their families, the survivors, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

🎃🚨 WE’VE BEEN INVITED 🎃🚨

Bartholomew County First Responder Trunk or Treat! 👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬👻🍬

On October 24th from 6–8 PM, we’ll be joining our fellow local first responders at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds for an evening full of costumes, candy, and Halloween fun! 🎃🖤💛

This is a great opportunity for the kids in our community to meet some of the people behind the voices they hear when they call 911—and for us to see everyone outside of the dispatch center! 📞🚨

So grab those costumes, bring your candy buckets, and come say BOO! to your local first responders and dispatchers! 👻🍭

This past week, one of our Bartholomew County 911 Center Dispatchers had the opportunity to present Radio Best Practices and Etiquette during the City of Columbus Department of Public Works and Street Department’s annual training.

Strong communication is the foundation of public safety. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with our city departments to help ensure clear, professional, and effective radio communications that keep everyone safe and operations running smoothly.

Thank you to the City of Columbus DPW and Street Department for inviting us to be part of your annual training!

We had a paws-itively awesome visitor at Dispatch today! 🐾

The Sheriff Department’s newest K-9, Hondo, stopped by to meet our dispatchers, collect a few pets, and make sure we’re ready to answer when duty calls. We can’t confirm it, but we’re pretty sure Hondo has already earned the title of “Employee of the Month.”

It was great getting to meet our newest four-legged teammate and spend some time with the team behind the badge. We look forward to working alongside K-9 Hondo and cheering him on as he begins his career serving our community.

Welcome to the team! 🚔🐶

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from your 911 Dispatch Center!

As our community celebrates with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks, we’re here 24/7—just like every holiday—to answer the call when you need us.

If you’re celebrating today, please do so safely:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🚗 Never drink and drive.
❤️ Keep an eye on children and pets.
📞 Call 911 for emergencies only.

We wish everyone a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day. Thank you to all of the first responders, dispatchers, healthcare workers, military members, and everyone working today to help keep our community safe.

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
