Many families in our community are struggling with something most of us take for granted: knowing where they’ll sleep at night.

Across Central Ohio, more working families, single parents, and children are being impacted by housing instability. It’s a growing reality for hundreds of people who are trying to figure out what comes next.

In a recent NBC4 Columbus Living story, a local mother shares her journey from homelessness to stability and the support that helped her get back on their feet.

What does it take to solve homelessness in our community?

After 40 years of bringing people together to achieve the best outcomes for people facing homelessness in our region, we've learned that real progress happens when a community collaborates and works toward the same goal: ensuring everyone has stable housing.

That's why we're grateful to Cardinal Health for supporting our 40th Anniversary Under One Roof celebration and helping to invest in long-term solutions.

While our event is sold out, you can still be part of this important work. Through June 30, donations will be matched, helping more people find stability: https://bit.ly/43h9ux7

What started as a shared vision 40 years ago has grown into a coordinated system that helps thousands of individuals and families access shelter, housing, and supportive services every year.

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we're reflecting on the people and partnerships that made this progress possible.

In this NBC4 video interview, Holly Schottenstein Kastan, daughter of CSB founder Melvin Schottenstein, shares the story behind Under One Roof and the legacy of those who helped build a stronger response to homelessness in our community.

After you watch, we'd love to hear from you: What do you think is the best way a community can come together to help people experiencing homelessness? Your answer could inspire others to get involved.

Over the past 40 years, we've seen how the conversation around homelessness has evolved from responding to immediate needs to creating long-term solutions that help people find stability and stay housed.

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary this week at Under One Roof, we're grateful for community partners like COTA, National Church Residences, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Schottenstein Property Group, and the Tomko Company, whose support helps move this work forward.

While our signature event is sold out, you can still be part of the next chapter. Through June 30, every gift will be matched, amplifying your impact on neighbors experiencing homelessness: https://bit.ly/43h9ux7

We'd love to hear from you: What makes you hopeful about the future of our community?

Forty years ago, our founders chose to invest in a better future for our neighbors struggling with stable housing. Today, we're still seeing the impact of their vision across Franklin County and the Central Ohio region.

In this video, CSB President + CEO Shannon TL Isom reflects on what it means to build a legacy that lasts beyond our lifetimes.

Now it's our turn. Share your thoughts in the comments and if you'd like to help create a stronger future for our neighbors, every donation made through June 30 will be matched: https://bit.ly/43h9ux7
