EGG-stra! EGG-stra! The Easter Bunny has scheduled his annual official visit to Donner Park for April 8!
Join Parks and Recreation at Donner Center in the search for eggs on April 8 at 10 am! Children will be broken down into the following age groups: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. Please bring a bag or basket for your eggs! If raining, candy and eggs will be distributed inside Donner Center. Co-sponsored with radio 1010 WCSI.
Looking for something more sensory-friendly? We have your family covered with our EGG-Ceptional Egg Hunt starting at 11 am! Don't worry, our Bunny buddy left plenty of eggs for our friends looking for a quieter celebration after the traditional hunt!

Each box has games and activities, all the ingredients and recipes for a homemade meal, personalized keepsakes, dessert, and drinks. This time, steak is on the menu! Ingredients will be included to make a delicious, pan seared, butter basted steak, a shrimp cocktail appetizer, a side of garlic mashed potatoes, crème brûlée for dessert, and an old fashioned mixer (alcohol not included). Vegetarian options are also available! Date in a Box packages need to be picked up at Donner Center on April 21 between 9 am and 5:15 pm. Open to ages 21+

Columbus Parks and Recreation is happy to announce that our first community, FREE play disc golf course is now open and playable at Donner Park! If you have been through the park lately, you might have noticed some new orange baskets and signage for the course. Grab your discs and come on out and try out Columbus’ brand new public disc golf course here at Donner Park. Follow this link for a course map: https://udisc.com/courses/donner-park-oCKF or walk the course starting near the Donner Restrooms, temporary signs are up to help navigate!
We are excited to continue the finalization of the project this summer with permanent signage and tee pads! We value course feedback as we go through this project as well. Now that it is playable, we will work through making minor adjustments based on player feedback until everything is finished this summer.
The new Donner Park disc golf course is now installed and open for play! Concrete tees are coming in the summer.

We believe in providing accessible programming to ALL Bartholomew County residents. The Chuck Wilt Youth Scholarship Program provides up to $200 per child per calendar year. Families can prove eligibility by presenting:
- Proof of Social Security Supplemental or Disability Income
- Proof of public assistance through the Division of Family Resources, i.e., Temporary Assistance for Needy
Families (TANF) or Food Stamps
- Free lunch assistance through the local schools
- Proof of public assistance through the City of Columbus Housing Authority
- Hoosier Healthwise Card(s)
- Or, If a family has foster children in their household, foster paperwork may be presented

As a survivor, it is your job to secure shelter, find food, train with a weapon, gain access to medical supplies and ultimately create the cure. Starting at 7pm, every 10 minutes, a group of humans will embark on their evening run to different stations to accomplish these essentials of survival and to find the cure. You will receive a map, and you may visit the stations in any order you choose, but the last station you visit must be “the cure”. Register extension for Columbus Parks and Recreation's Zorb Soccer Tournament! The tournament will take place July 24 starting at 9am at Dick Wigh Soccer Complex! This program is for ages 18+. This is intended to be an introduction to the game. This double elimination tournament will take place in one day. Calling all local musicians! Are you looking for a chance to perform in front of a live crowd and have a rocking time? Parks and Recreation is putting on Battle of the Bands this Summer! Consider sending in your audition tape. Prepare 3 songs, and submit your bands audition tape to [email protected] by July 16 at 5pm. Judges will select the top 10 bands, and on August 14, starting at 7pm, the top 10 bands will preform live at Mill Race Park. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place bands.
