We wanted to help get the word out about this!

Some small businesses, private nonprofits, and certain agriculture-related entities affected by the January 23–27 severe winter storm may be eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loan assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SBA, a valuable external resource for many residents, determines all eligibility, approval, loan amounts, terms, deadlines, and any impact on other assistance.

Did you know our county Extension offices test pressure canner gauges for free? We do!

People who are using pressure canners to preserve food need to know their dial gauges are accurate, and this is a quick and easy way to make sure the equipment is working properly.
Once checked, the pressure canner should maintain its accuracy for a year if handled properly. The gauge should be checked every year.
