Magnolia festival is here! As you enjoy this weekend’s Festival please keep safety in mind for yourself, your family, and others attending.

🚧 Expect increased traffic and pedestrian activity throughout the downtown area.

⚠️ Spring Street and Travis Street will have closures and restricted access during festival events.

Safety reminders:
🔒 Lock your vehicles
👀 Hide valuables from plain sight
🚫 Do not leave fi****ms in your vehicle
🚖 Don’t drink and drive plan ahead for a safe ride home

Multiple local and assisting agencies will be working throughout the weekend to provide security, traffic control, and emergency response coverage for both the festival and the City of Columbus.

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️

The underpass in the 1000 block of Fannin Street has sustained damage and the roadway will be shut down for repairs.

TxDOT is currently redirecting traffic in the area. Please use caution, expect delays, and follow all posted detours and traffic control devices.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while repairs are being completed. Please drive safely.

LAW Publications will be in our community over the next few days working with local businesses to help support our safety and education programs.

They will be visiting businesses and speaking with owners about sponsorship opportunities that directly benefit community outreach efforts, including materials for children and families.

Today we recognize our Administrative Assistant for Administrative Professionals Day.

She is the backbone of this department. The one who keeps everything running, catches what we miss, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. She keeps us organized, holds us accountable, and never hesitates to step in and help, no matter what is needed.

We truly could not do this job as well as we do without her. We appreciate you more than words can say.
