I think we have one of those pilots here in Columbus also, don't we Victoria Craig Griffin?

Facebook Friends! As we finalize the details of our schedule, we wanted to take a few days to introduce you to our pilots and sponsors that are helping make our Drive-Thru Kiwanis Balloon Fest possible. The gate is FREE this year to help everyone attend regardless of their current financial situation. Please plan to make donations at the gate to help cover the costs associated with putting on this awesome Family-Friendly event which also supports our Kiwanis initiatives. And the first pilot is... Zach Burgess piloting Neptuno the Seahorse! We look forward to having them with us for Kiwanis Indiana Balloon Fest 2.0!

What an awesome meeting this was. Thanks John John H. Asel for also joining. I think he was on the second page of guest so can’t see in this post.

We had an awesome Zoom call last night with over 50 attendees and the entire Kiwanis Family (K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K, Aktion Club, and Kiwanis) was represented on the call. We would like to send a huge shout out to our guest speakers Tana Early - Circle K International President, Alex Drahos - Key Club International President, and Amber Miller - Riley Children’s Hospital! They were all fabulous and we learned a lot from their presentations. We also had several Governors in attendance that we would like to thank for attending last night - Kevin Rowland, Nicole Zellers, Cheyenne Stewart, & Jordan Peyton (CKI Kansas Governor). Before we list the door prize winners we would like to thank everyone for attending, Hope Marks for joining us from Jamaica and thank everyone that brought a guest or an inter-club. Wow... what a great night!
Door Prize Winners: Jake May, Bryan Dickman, Melinda A Remley, and Mike Siebern, and Emily Francis (Theresa Rettig Francis). Congrats to all of our door prize winners! #KidsNeedKiwanis Kiwanis International

Here is a brief clip from our Zoom meeting today with Jim Ogilvie from the newly formed Columbus Indiana Huey Association. Jim shared the purpose of the group and their adventure in buying a rebuilt 1970 UH-1 (Iroquois) helicopter and flying it back from California. https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/1_Bacu2v1HNOWdbgr1Ddd7wZG5i1X6a81CdKqaJbnR1xqHrjgyTNq64KSPNJZ8rJ?startTime=1593101647000

Jim has donated the exciting drop of some of the ducks into Round Lake at Mill Race Park for our annual Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash for many years. We really appreciate all that he does for our clubs and the youth we help in our community, in addition to the other generous contributions he makes to Columbus and Bartholomew County.

Christina Bailey of Thrive Alliance has asked for the following to be shared: I'm doing a canned meat collection for my clients at work. We're going to use as prizes/ incentives for attending the educational programs & activities. Meat will help stretch their food budgets & get much-needed proteins. Canned beef, chicken, turkey, tuna, beef stew or "hearty" soups like pot roast. If anyone wants to make monetary donations instead I will purchase frozen meat items since we have freezer at work. Any extras will be shared w/ the senior hot meal site clients at community center. Please share w/ any youth groups or civic groups you belong to if they would like to do as a service project. Thank you! Christina Bailey [email protected] 812-379-1109
