Today Cathy, Jeff, and Mike recognized our KBUG winners at Rockcreek, CSA Lincoln, and Clifty Creek Elementary. Our First Quarter is in the books. If your school or Third Grade teacher missed nominating a Student for the First Quarter, be watching for your chance during the Second and Third Quarters. We’d love to recognize even more deserving students in the future.

A message from 2023-24 Kiwanis International President Katrina J. Baranko:

We think about the future as we begin executing our plans for the 2023-24 Kiwanis year. It reminds me of the first day of school each year when I was a teacher. I would always be so excited planning for that new year, knowing that I would come in energized, with fresh ideas to inspire kids to do their best and most creative work. Kiwanians, you have that same opportunity now — to bring your ideas and energy as we kick off the new Kiwanis year.

I am excited to embark on this journey alongside you. Our organization is made up of some of the most dedicated and selfless people I know. The challenges along the way should be embraced as opportunities. We will learn, grow, improve and adjust in ways that leave us stronger than before.

Together our efforts will result in great accomplishments. As the old adage goes: Teamwork makes the dream work. Kiwanians’ teamwork makes dreams happen for thousands of children. So get busy, dream makers — let your light shine in your communities and in children’s lives.
