FUN FACT! Volunteer firefighters make up 70–80% of Mississippi’s fire service. Today, ’s Firefighter Operations class kicks off with 126 firefighters registered! Firefighter Operations is the first level of our training program, followed by Firefighter I and then Firefighter II.

• Eastbound on-ramp from Lee Stokes Road to Tuscaloosa: Closed Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11.

• Eastbound off-ramp from Columbus to Lee Stokes Road: Closed Tuesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 13.

Please make plans to use alternate routes on these days and allow extra travel time.
