!!!!Attention Columbus residents!!!!
If you hear sirens slowly moving through town this evening around 1830 (630 pm) don't be alarmed. The Columbus Boys Track team went a secured the state title. Your local First responders will be accompanying them through town on little victory ride. This will start at the high school and move down 4th towards 9th St. Then West on Pike Ave and then North on Quarry. Please come out and make some noise for these amazing athletes!

Good afternoon Columbus and Stillwater County residents. We have met and spoken with Sindija Loze who will be going door to door in our area selling educational books. We have verified her information, she does have an accent but is a very nice young lady.
Her vehicle is a Grey Toyota Camry. She will be looking to meet with families with babies to seniors. No need to be alarmed if you see her.

This week is national Police Week, which is held in May each year. Its an annual U.S observance honoring law enforcement officers who have either gotten injured/disabled or have given the ultimate sacrifice. Originally established in 1962 by Peesident Kennedy, and it is centered around May 15th which is Peace Officer Memorial day. More than 24,000 Law Enforcement Officers have died in the line of duty since 1786.

The Montana Law Enforcement Torch run for Special Olympics came through Columbus and our 1st Responders showed up huge. We hope all the athletes/volunteers have a safe trip the rest of the way and we will see you next year!!!!

On 28 April at around 0322 Columbus Police self initiated a Suspicious Activity call at the Town Pump. Within minutes, the officer reported to dispatch that he had a male in custody. Pending charges are MCA 45-9-102 Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drug, 45-10-103 Criminal Possession of drug paraphernalia, and 45-7-301 Resisting arrest. Initial investigation is showing the male to be in Possession of (suspected) co***ne. The male was taken to jail, and his vehicle was seized. Further investigation will be conducted by Columbus Police.

Please help us Congratulate Officer Darneail Jenkins for graduating the Montana Law Enforcement Academy today. In attendance for Officer Jenkins was several friends and family from all over the states, he even had his Sister Darnella Taccchini who is a Recruit Training Officer with Oakland Police Department attend. Congratulations again, and we are glad to have you back in Columbus.
