Happy Independence Day from YOUR United Way!
Enjoy the holiday and be safe!
Volunteers participating in #DayofCaring2024 truly made a significant impact!
Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers who spread out across our community to make Bartholomew County better. Your time and efforts have saved organizations in our community thousands of hours of work.
Volunteers for Day of Caring:
-Made it easier for School Supply Assistance Program organizers to get school supplies into the hands of children who need them
-Partnered with women in recovery to make a mural of courage and equity
-Helped organizations with heavy lifting and other tasks that allowed social service employees to spend their time helping people in our community
-Cleared and cleaned the grounds of properties that will eventually be transitional and low-income housing
-…and much more
To our volunteers: Our community is better because of you. Thank you.
Check out a quick glimpse of the impact in the video below!

Breaking Poverty-Shorter Version.mp4
Today we officially kicked off #Campaign2022 with our Kick-Off Lunch! Thank you to everyone who attended and to Amazing Joe's Grill for hosting us.
Your pledges, gifts and contributions to the campaign will go to lift the 1 in 5 children in our community who live in poverty.
Children who live in poverty may not know where their next meal is coming from, their home situation may be unstable, and they do not have access to the same resources as their middle-class peers.
Watch our campaign video to learn more and consider a gift. A rising tide lifts all boats, and when we help children now, we are creating a better community for tomorrow.

Summer can be more than a time to catch up. Kids can learn skills that help them thrive and help them reach their full potential. But, some may slip into summer learning loss if they do not have access to quality summer programming.
Our partner agencies are working to mitigate this loss for kids in our community. Find out how here ⤵️
